TM 55-2200-001-12 Change 4 NATO UNCLASSIFIED 6.  Before loading by the bridge an observer is to be detailed whose task is to halt loading if: - shifts occur; in that case he will arrange for realignment; - the  bridge  is  badly  fouled  and  there  is  an  increased  danger  of  clipping;  in  that  case  he  will  have  the bridge cleaned by the ramp cleaning personnel detailed in advance. In addition, a marshaller is to be detailed for every vehicle, who must act in accordance with safety regulations. When loading and unloading the bridges mounted as end ramps ore to be crossed slowly but smoothly at a walking pace.
