Indicates the amount of fluid in expansion tank.

Drain Valve
A control to provide either manual or automatic draining of the
main reservoir air tanks and air filters. Location is identical on
left and right sides.

Fuel Sight Gage
Indicates the amount of diesel fuel in fuel tank. Location is
identical on left and right sides.
(8)
Windshield Wiper Cutoff
Controls the air to the windshield wipers.

Heater #1 Controls
Controls the operation of heater #1.

Shutter Manual Control
Provides a means of manually opening radiator

Multiple-Unit Control Jumper
Provides a means for connecting multiple-unit

Sand Controller
Controls the amount of sand delivered to the rails. When
indicator points to between 1 and 2, the sander will deliver
approximately 1 lb (0.5 kg) of sand per minute. There are four
on each side of locomotive.

EMERGENCY FUEL CUTOFF PUSH-
Provides a means of shutting down locomotive

from ground in an emergency situation when other means are
unsafe. Location is identical on left and right sides of
