Rule 4. Single Cars, Maximum Load Weight.-
(a)
The weight of load on a car must not exceed the load limit stenciled on car.
(b)
When the load is lapped or staggered between truck centers and covers about the full length of car and the
weight of load does not exceed the stenciled load limit of car, the tables under paragraph (d) do not apply.
(c)
Weight, uniformly distributed, of material loaded from truck centers to ends of car must not exceed 30% of
stenciled load limit (that is 15% each end). (See Sketch 1).
(d)
Load concentrations between body bolsters and end sills must not exceed the following percentages. (See
Sketch 2).
