Use a putty knife and remove old gasket material from header tank gasket surfaces.

Place core in a tank of hot alkaline cleaning compound and soak for 4 hours.

Remove core and steam clean. Rinse with clean water.
9.
Use a putty knife and remove old gasket
material from core gasket surfaces. 10. Insert a stainless steel rod
through each core tube.
